Aqua Romana, for 2 to 4 players, designed by Martin Schlegel (published by Queen Games)
Sonderpreis ("special prize") Fantastisches ("fantastic art treasure") Spiel: Shadows over Camelot, for 3 to 7 players, designed by Serge Laget and Bruno Cathala (published by Days Of Wonder)
Sonderpreis Komplexes ("complex") Spiel: Caylus, for 2 to 5 players, designed by William Attia (published by Rio Grande Games / Ystari)
Shadows Over Camelot and Caylus were the 1 and 2 games on my list of the best board games published in 2005.
Of the designers nominated for the main award, Knizia has by far the longest resume. Hundreds of Knizia designed titles have been published, including recent games like Ingenious, Pickomino, Beowulf: The Legend and the Euphrates Tigris Card Game.

Apple is alive and well. The ihpone 5 is an extraordinary product. After spending the weekend with the mini I found I could not put it down. It is built beautifully, it is so thin and light. It was actually faster than my ipad 3. It is an engineering feat. I preordered the ipad4 as well. I had several non apple fans over these house this week and after using the mini, they are even buying one. The ipad 4 will be an incredible upgrade as well from the 3. Many people will get rid of their ipad 3 and replace it with the 4 . Resale for the 3 is strong and I can sell my wifi, cell 64GB ipad 3 for $700 on ebay. Thats incredible resale power. These products will be a boon for apple. However, the stock needs the hedge funds to cover their shorts and initiate longs again to propel the stock higher. They are negative on the stock and idiots like Cramer perpetuate the aapl negativity. CNBC exudes aapl negativity as well. Until there is some very positive catalyst that changes sentiment, look for sideways to down price action. The stock is short term oversold, however, and any positives will propel it back to the 600 level.
iPad3 was considered a big leapfrog due to its Retina Display, and it sold 1.5Mu in the first weekend, a big success. iPad4 was considered no excitement (only 2X CPU/Graphics performance), and iPad mini was considered too expensive, and won't be competitive, the two together sold 3Mu in its first weekend. Assuming 5050 for iPad4 and iPad mini, then each sold 1.5Mu, the same as iPad3 which was considered a big excitement on the Retina display. It is clear that Apple did not lose its market momentum no matter what people think about these two new products. Also the above number indicating that Apple will have little cannibalization on its iPad by introducing iPad mini, rather Apple will quickly eat into Amazon, Google's 7" tablet market.

I think if people want to spend on an ipad, and considering there's not much of a price point deferential, relatively speaking, that they are going to go for the more value which is the 4th Gen iPad. But if they are going for a smaller tablet, they will go for the mini. What's important to them and motivates them more, is where they will gravitate to. My concern is how those margins will look after holiday shopping. My fear is that because of the pricing structures, may hurt one or both products. I hope not. Long AAPL.

Why would Samsung, Asus or other Android hardware makers bother entering the 7" tablet space when they can't compete with Googles tablet that is sold for no profit. People will soon realize that Apples ipad mini product and $329 price point was genius. The recovery starts with this realization and fueled by a China Mobile deal. $700 per share could still be in the cards before the years end. With a little reassurance people will start to realize how conservative Q1 guidance was.

These are often phones, tablets, computers and other electrical goods that may have been shop stock, returned to the manufacturer, or former lease items that have been restored. Many big manufacturers such as Apple, Uniden, Hewlett Packard and Sony sell refurbished goods in New Zealand.
It's quite common for computer retailers to sell refurbished products. Often they are exdemo or exlease computers and laptops. PB Tech, PTL Computers and others often have such deals.
Although there are savings, they're not always huge. A refurbished 16GB fourthgeneration iPad 4 was $659 on Apple's website this week. The cheapest locally sourced one I could find on the same day was $724 at 100 per cent Heathcote Appliances. Whether the $65 saving makes buying the refurbished item worthwhile depends on the circumstances.
Buying refurbished goods comes with risks. A number of Consumer members have reported problems with refurbished iPods and iPhones, although these were refurbished goods given in exchange for faulty products, not sold through the website.
An adviser at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment said this week that providing a New Zealand "supplier" sold the goods, they must comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA). Whether it can be proved, however, that a refurbished item should have lasted as long as a new one is a moot point.
There is also a question of what "refurbished" means. Many shoppers would consider it to be restored to new condition. But there isn't an official description.
